As you know, Uhe new Jovernor. Lieutenant Governor, and
At~o*e-   eneral take th'e oeth of office January 10, 1947.
Whe  shoLd4J the pay fer services rendered by the Pew officials
begin- lso, when should the pay of all the employees of these
otticials begin.
In regard to the Attorney Qeneral's Office, ple~ase be advised that
the Attorney General's payroll will finalize as of liS9 p.m., January
9, 1967.
In regard to the Governor's Office, it is the opinion of this Office
that thme employees directly employed by his or indirectly employed
by dpartment beads, wAich he has the sole discretic to appoint,
will continue to recive pay until they are notified of severasee
by the Governor or his legally designated.qppointed, qualified and
acting department heads; thus they will oeatiae to drew pay for
services rendered attil they ar  notifled to the contrary.
It should be added that sem department heads, by legislative set,
are appoiated by the beards or emissions designated to administer
the subject board or m imiseion. If the Ceatitation at the 3egislature
has designated the departaeat easstive head to be appoited by the
board or omission. then emiy that particular beard or oinmaies may
