TO ALL STATE AND COUNTY OFFICERS OF ALABAMA:
In accordance with Code 1940, Title 55, Section 228, I am
submitting to you the Quarterly Report of the Opinions of the
Attorney General of Alabama. This report covers all opin-
ions rendered by the Attorney General from July 1, 1942,
through September 30, 1942.
The Section of the Code referred to above requires that
seven copies of this Quarterly Report be sent to each of the
Probate Judges in the State, and the Probate Judge shall in
turn deliver one volume each to the Clerk of the Circuit Court,
the Sheriff, the Tax Collector, the Tax Assessor, the County
Superintendent of Education, and Deputy or County Solicitor.
Said Code Section also provides a copy of said Report be sent
each Circuit Solicitor and the chief executive officer of each
incorporated municipality in the State.
The office of the Attorney General is anxious to render
prompt and efficient service to the State and county officials.
If you have any suggestions to make regarding the improve-
ment of the service, we should be glad to receive it. We wel-
come your criticism.
