handle is hein.psc/yukon2007 and id is 1 raw text is: CHAPTER 1 CHAPITRE 1 o a o 0 FIRST APPROPRIATION ACT, 2007-08 (Assented to June 14, 2007) Whereas it appears by message from the Commissioner and in the estimates accompanying the message that the sums mentioned in Schedule A of this Act are required for the purpose of defraying certain expenses of the public service of Yukon and for related purposes for the period of 12 months ending March 31, 2008; The Commissioner of Yukon, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly, enacts as follows 1 From and out of the Yukon Consolidated Revenue Fund there may be paid and applied a sum not exceeding in the whole $866,947,000, for defraying the several charges and expenses of the public service of Yukon payable in the period of 12 months ending on March 31, 2008, as set forth in Schedule A of this Act and which, includes all sums previously appropriated for any part of the same period, and that sum shall not be paid or applied except in accordance with Schedules A, B, and C, the Financial Administration Act and, subject to that Act, the estimates accompanying the message from the Commissioner. 2 Not included in the sum of $866,947,000 referred to in section 1 is the sum of $743,000 representing the foregone income from non- interest-bearing compensating balances held on deposit with the government's banker for purposes of paying for the banking services provided to the government by the bank.
