  LAWYERS AT HOME

      a Forum of the DC

          Women's Bar

The Lawyers at Home forum (LAH) is a
subgroup of the DC Women's Bar whose
 membership consists largely of women
attorneys in the Washington DC area who
have met the challenge of balancing work
and home by cutting back on, leaving, or
'otherwise altering their legal practice to free
up time for family.

Meetings

LAH has monthly meetings from October
through April on topics of interest to the
membership, which can range from law
related topics, such as the latest in legal
research via the Internet, to such family
oriented topics as parenting teenagers.
Among the topics planned for 2001-2002

V

are Lawyer-Parent 101, Standardized
Testing, and the Mommy Tax. In May, a
social gathering replaces the regular
meeting.

Meetings are generally held the first Friday
of the month from October through April
from 9:30 - 11:30 am at the Cleveland Park
Congregational Church, 34th & Lowell
Streets, NW, Washington, DC. The
entrance to the meeting room of the Church
is on Lowell. There is on-street parking on
Lowell and surrounding streets. Parents are
welcome to bring infants and young
children, but asked to be willing to step out
with any who need quieting so that others
may hear our speakers.
