TOUR OF WOMEN'S MUSEUM

January 19 is the date to implement your New
Year's resolution to see more of the great things
D.C. has to offer. To celebrate the 75th Anmiversary
of the WBA, a special tour of the National Museum
of Women in the Arts, (1250 New York Ave., NW),
has been arranged for WBA members. The tour will
begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 19. A docent
from the museum will conduct the tour of the
museum's permanent collection which is comprised
of over 12(X) works by more than 500 women artists
from 28 countries. The museum's library and
research center houses the world's largest written
collection on womenartists. Several special exhibits

also will be open for review including an exhibit of
children's books illustrated by African-American
artists and Voices of Freedom: Polish Women
Artists and the Avant Garde. Plan to make this a
family event.
After the museum tour (at 3:30 p.m.) everyone is
invited to attend a special reception at the law firm
of Thelen, Marrin, Johnson & Bridges, 805 15th
Street, NW, Suite 900.
The cost of the tour is $10 per person (no cost for
