                       MINUTES OF THE WBA
                COMMITTEE & FORUM CHAIR MEETING
                         March 3, 1987



      The meeting was called order at 6:40 p.m. by Bettina
Lawton, President.  The following persons were in attendance:
April McGuigan, Joan Countryman, Gwen Simmons, Judy Leader,
Martha J.P. McQuade, Jennifer Porter, Kaye Hearn, Janet
Blizard, Linda M. Wellstein, Rebecca K. Troth, Julia Weller,
Martha Saenz-Schroeder, Susan Coleman, Judith M. Sack, Palma
Yanni, Lucy Thomson, and Diana Savit.

      Secretary's Report

      The Committee & Forum Chair minutes of the January 6,
1987 meeting were adopted without amendment.

      Treasurer's Report

      Janet Blizard requested that all committee and forum
chairs submit their reimbursement requests as soon as possible
as it is necessary to get these items taken care of before the
audit can completed.

      President's Report

      Bettina Lawton made the following announcements:

      (1) The following candidates have been nominated for WBA
          offices:

          A.  President:  Martha Saenz-Schroeder;
          B.  President-Elect:  Julia Frey, Lucy Thomson;
          C.  Secretary:   Judy Leader, Martha J.P. McQuade;
          D.  Treasurer:  Janet Blizard;
          E.  Treasurer-Elect:  Linda Wellstein, Gwendolyn
              Simmons;
          F.  Board of Directors:  Mary Revell, Kathy Gunning,
              Jane Golden-Belford, Janet Cooper, and Vicki
              Hicks.

          One has until March 6, 1987 to petition to be placed
          on the ballot.
