To begin the process of developing a three-five year Long Range Plan. To evaluate the Board's roles and responsibilities. To improve relations between the Board and the WBA professional staff. 9:00 a.m. Coffee and Bagels 10:00 a.m. Welcome and Self-Introductions of Board members. 10:15 a.m. Development of a Strategic Plan for 1996-97. In order to accomplish this, the Board needs to discuss the following: Survey results Program expansion, and types of programs Membership increase, and membership involvement Newsletter format Legislative Agenda Committee/Forum Guidelines 1997 Annual Meeting 11:30 a.m. Action Plan to implement the Strategic Plan. 11:30-11:45 a.m. Break 11:45 a.m. Development of a three to five year Long Range Plan. In order to accomplish this, the Board needs to discuss the following: The Long Range Planning Committee The WBA Constitution, By-Laws and vision for the future Access changes in the WBA and its environment Strategic Aims for the future Policies 1:00 p.m. Action Plan to assist with implementation of the Long Range Plan. 1:30 p.m. Lunch 2:00 p.m. Evaluate the Board's roles, responsibilities, and work processes Relationship with the WBAF 2:45 p.m. Break 3:00 p.m. Evaluate and strengthen the relationship between the Board and the professional staff; Effective use of the WBA office, 4:00 p.m. Retreat adjourned. All Board members shall receive copies of the WBA Constitution and By-Laws, Committee/Forum Guidelines, 1996-97 Budget, Rosters, and Dates for 1996-97 Board and Committee/Forum Meetings.
