I.   Minutes of November 14, 1995

The Board approved the minutes of November 14, 1995, in draft
form with amendments. The Board also approved the final, amended
minutes from August 15, September 19, and October 17.

II. Report of the Executive Committee

A.   President McQuade reported that, prior to the scheduled
     Board meeting scheduled for December 19, 1995, the Executive
     Committee took the following actions:

     1.   Agreed to co-sponsor several programs with the ABA
          Section on Law Practice Management at the 1996 mid-year
          meeting in Baltimore on February 1-3, 1996:

          a.   How to Start and Develop a Small/Solo Firm;
          b.   Realistic Approaches to Winning and Retaining
               Clients -- Women Rainmakers Interest Group;
          c.   Empowering the Attorney of Color.

     2.   Agreed to endorse Mary Gooden Terrell for the position
          of Associate Judge of the D.C. Superior Court.

     3.   Declined to join the American Trial Lawyers Association
           in opposing proposed legislation that would have
           limited awards in products liability cases.

B.   Since then, the Executive Committee also took the following
     actions:
