                 RE: WBA's Endorsement of Lorelie S. Masters

          Dear Ms. Ludaway:

                 The Women's  Bar Association of the District of Columbia (the WBA) is pleased to
          endorse Lorelie S. Masters for appointment to position as Judge of the District of Columbia
          Court of Appeals.

                 Ms. Masters is a seasoned civil trial attorney with a wealth of experience, having handled
          numerous  matters at both the trial and appellate levels in the District of Columbia and in other
          courts throughout the United States. Ms. Masters has gained the respect of her colleagues and
          clients in the legal community for her skills as a trial and appellate litigator, intellect,
          thoroughness and professionalism. Ms. Masters has proven herself to be a leader by example,
          and possess all the qualities and skills the WBA considers essential to obtain its endorsement.

                 For the past twenty years, Ms. Masters has been a partner in a law firm. She has been
          partner in the Washington D.C. office of Jenner & Block LLP since 2002. From February 2000
          through January 2002, Ms. Masters was a Director in the Washington D.C. office of Beveridge
          & Diamond,  P.C., and prior to that position, was a partner in the New York and Washington
          D.C. offices of Anderson Kill & Olick LLP. Ms. Masters has focused her practice on insurance
          coverage counseling and litigation, representing and advising a wide range of clients, from
          Fortune 500 companies to small entities. Ms. Masters also has represented clients in numerous
          other commercial disputes, including those involving antitrust and breach of contract issues.

                 Throughout her career, approximately one-third of Ms. Masters's court appearances have
          been in federal trial and appellate courts, providing Ms. Masters with significant oral advocacy
