bject: PLEN's Women, Law and Public Policy Conference

  Dear Donna,

Thank you so much for your assistance this afternoon. As I mentioned
over the phone, PLEN is thrilled that the Women's Bar Association of DC
has granted PLEN's Women, Law and Public Policy Conference funding for
our closing breakfast on Sunday, November 6th from 10 a.m. to noon.
Furthermore, we would be delighted if a representative from your
organization could join us in a discussion entitled Preparing for Your
Career in Law and Public Policy.

This session will take place on Sunday, November 6 from 10 a.m. to Noon
and will be held in the Center for Nonprofit Advancement Conference
Room, located at 1666 K Street NW, Suite 440. The conference room is
located within walking distance to the Farragut North and Farragut West
  metro stations.

This session will culminate the students' time in Washington and will
provide a forum for advice on getting into and surviving law school, as
well as finding a career upon graduation. We have invited 4 other women
to speak at this session including: Veryl Miles, Dean, The Columbus
School of Law, Catholic University; Alana Wexler, Senior Counsel, Office
of Counsel to the Inspector General, US Department of Health and Human
Services and a PLEN alumnae; and Brittany Benowitz, Equal Justice Works
Fellow, Center for National Security Studies. We would be so honored to
have a member of the Foundation's Board join these panelists. We will
that each panelist speak for 10-15 minutes, telling the students a
about their career path and sharing any advice about finding a
career in law and public policy. We will then open the discussion to
 questions from the students.

The Women, Law and Public Policy Seminar will bring approximately 30
women college students from across the country to Washington to meet and
learn from women attorneys who are using their law degrees to make and
influence public policy. Speakers will include attorneys working with
congressional committees, executive agencies, advocacy groups and law firms.

Again, we can't thank the Women's Bar Association of DC enough for
supporting this program. Please let me know if you have any questions
 regarding this panel.

 Kind regards,
 Shannon Doran
