Drafting Committee to Amend the Uniform Athlete Agents Act

1. Call to Order.
2. Introduction of committee members, reporter, advisors and observers.
3. Report of activities of the Chair and Reporter since last meeting.
4. Report of Subcommittee on Interstate Compacts by the Chair and
discussion, including whether there should be an alternative provision for
interstate compacts in the act.
5. Discussion of enforcement provisions, including (a) whether provisions
should be added to give incentives to those that report violations; (b)
whether player associations and sports leagues should share information
about sports agents representing student athletes; (c) administrative
enforcement; and (d) whether player associations and leagues should require
compliance with the act as a precondition to representing student athletes in
contract negotiations.
6. Discussion of criminal provisions under the act and whether they should
remain.
7. Discussion of ULC Annual Meeting comments and changes.
8. Discussion of the definition of athlete agent.
9. Discussion of remaining issues contained in the issues memorandum.
10. Review other provisions of the act as necessary.

11. Discussion of work plan and next steps.
