handle is hein.lbr/tfquescom0001 and id is 1 raw text is: Task Force on the Future of Legal Education

Themes, Ideas, Questions
And Invitation to Comment
The Task Force on the Future of Legal Education has been charged with developing
a report and set of concrete recommendations for the improvement of legal
education, which respond to current and anticipated weaknesses in the economy,
rapid and substantial changes in the legal profession, and shortcomings in the
delivery of legal education.
The Task Force is working through two subcommittees. One subcommittee is
examining the potential for innovation and improvement in how law schools deliver
education. The other subcommittee is examining the economics of legal education
and its impact on individual graduates and the profession.
The two subcommittees invite comments on the following themes, ideas, and
questions. In particular, the subcommittees invite suggestions for additional ideas
and action steps to implement the themes, ideas, and answers to questions. The
subcommittees do not necessarily endorse any specific items at this point; rather,
they present them for comment and to prompt discussion.
The Task Force recognizes that there is overlap between the documents produced
by the two subcommittees.
