In this article we present our annual review and comparison of the major legal
database services. For last year's summary, see the November/December 1991 issue
of LEGAL INFORMAON ALERT.

* Abortion Report-A bipartisan daily briefing paper on abortion issues in political
and legislative arenas.
* NotimexMexicanNews Service-IntheNorth/SouthAmericaLibrary(NSAMER).

* Atlanta Journal and Constitution and Houston Chronicle newspapers.
* CNN transcripts and National Public Radio newscast transcripts.

* Canadian Newspapers-Calgary Herald, Montreal Gazette, Ottawa Citizen, and
Vancouver Sun.
* PACs and Lobbies Newsletter-In NEs.
* Public Interest Group Ratings-Outlines annual ratings assigned to members of
Congress (LEGIS library).
* Witkin Summary of California Law-Highly regarded secondary source for
California law (in CAL library).
* Auto-Cite-Now shows reporters, courts, and case history in Bluebook style.
* BUDGET (LEGIS library}-Contains proposed U.S. budget for fiscal year 1993.
* MEGA-Allows users to select a subset of federal-state case law. For example,
9MEGA contains case law from the U.S. Supreme Court, the 9th Circuit, federal
district courts (in the 9th Circuit), and all state appellate courts from states within
the 9th Circuit.
