If you have Internet access, have you subscribed
to the State, Court and County Law Libraries list serv?
If not, do so soon or you'll miss information about
committees, events and colleagues! The SCCLL SIS will
offer many new opportunities this year for SIS members.
In July, the SCCLL Executive Board approved creation
of a Grants Committee, currently chaired by Kathy
Carlson and ablyassisted by Michele Finerty and Georgiana
Gekas Wellford. Look for more information about this
committee and funding opportunities for professional
development in coming issues of this newsletter.

Charlie Dyer and Regina Smith are already
two months into *tans for the Trustee Development
Committee. Regina has written and submitted a pro-
posal to the Anaheim Program Selection Committee
(AALL) for a Trustee Workshop to precede the
Anaheim meeting. Charlie is working closely with
AALL to ensure the Gates Library Foundation funding
for public libraries includes public law libraries.
Enough information from me. Yourperusal of
this issue of the newsletter is better spent eyeballing
the roster of committee members, reading news from
the AALL Annual Meeting and programs in Balti-
more, and learning about new opportunities for our
SIS.

Circumstances are the creatures of men,
