15 SCCLL SIS Newsl. 1 (1988-1989)

handle is hein.lbr/alsclnws0015 and id is 1 raw text is: I JL Ss NEWSLETTER
American Association of Law Libraries:
. Volume 15 Number 1

This is the first newsletter of the 1988-89
year. We plan to issue at least two more
but frequency will depend on the amount of
news that needs reporting and your
willingness to contribute articles, comments,
notes of interest or timely bits of
information. To make yourself heard (read?)
just send your material to me in readable
form (camera ready copy is NOTnecessary)
by January 10th for the February issue and
March 1Oth for the April issue. Send to Fred
Baum, The Association of the Bar, 42 West
44th St., New York, N.Y. 10036.
Remember the convention?
And the winner is,
A single $10 raffle ticket is all she bought.
It made her a winner and the prize was a
computer? Some of us had purchased 2, 3,
5, and even 10 tickets to increase the
chances of winning, but the single ticket
winner was Carolyn J. Poston of San
Bernardino, Ca. Congratulations Carolyn, we
hope you enjoy using it. If you add a
monochrome graphics card for $69,95 the
next NEWSLETTER can be done on your
machine.
What about the rest of you? For just
$59.95, NewsMaster II will get you into
desk top publishing quickly. This issue is an
example of what it can do. If it is less than
good it is my fault and not the fault of
Ile software package.

Sample Telefax Policies

In the spring of 1988 the Interlibrary
Communications Subcommittee of the
SCCLL SIS requested sample telefax policies
from all court, agency and academic
libraries listed in the AALL Directory as
having telefax equipment. The Committee
compiled the responses in a file which is
organized alphabetically by states. There are
approximately 30 sample policies in the file
and the file is available on loan to any
AALL member. For more information please
