Message From The Chair
Duane Strojny
Maybe it was appropriate for the 1996 annual business meeting to be held in Indianapolis. I
spent all my time racing around trying to complete as much business as possible. Needless to
say, I think I was successful, with the assistance of a number of people, in accomplishing quite a
bit. Programs proposals were worked on, the business meeting was well attended, and the
biggest news, the name change of our SIS was put in motion.
Under the direction of Kory Staheli, our Vice-Chair and Gail Partin, of the Legal Research
Teach-In fame and Programming Chair, our SIS has submitted a lengthy list of program
proposals. A full list of titles and their content are contained in this newsletter. Thanks are due
to many of you who volunteered at the annual business meeting to help Kory and Gail coordinate
various proposals.
The 1996 business meeting was attended by 51
members of our SIS. The list of attendees is
