CONVENTION UPDATE
Reader Services SIS has undertaken an ambitious program for a new section. In
addition to our business meeting, we are presenting a program on circulation
systems during the convention, and also conducting a post-convention worksh6p on
problem patrons on the day after the convention. Please check the convention
program for exact times and locations of these:
TUESDAY MORNING, JUNE 24---Business meeting. One item of business will be the
announcement of the results of the election of officers for the next
year. Nominations and election details are covered later in this
newsletter.
TUESDAY AFTERNOON, JUNE 24...Reader Services SIS program on circulation systems.
Details are not yet final, but don't miss this historic event, the
first program of the Section. (Besides, do you know all you should
about circ systems??? This program can inform you.)

THURSDAY,

JUNE 26, all day---Workshop on the problem patron. This is a separate
program, not included in convention registration fees. It must be
registered for as a separate item, although the convention mailing does
have information and forms. (IF YOU HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED A CONVEN-
TION INFORMATION PACKET, CONTACT HEADQUARTERS.) Nick Triffin, Vice-
chair/chair-elect of the Section, is organizing this program.

AALL LIAISON
The liaison between the Executive Board and the Reader Services SIS is Cameron

NATIONAL PERIODICALS CENTER UPDATE

Part D of House Bill 5192, currently being considered by the Senate
on Labor and Resources, would create a National Periodicals Center.
