EDITORIAL

I am pleased to announce beginning with this issue, Volume 8,
Number 1, that Women & Criminal Justice has changed from a
biannual to a quarterly journal. We will continue to provide quality
refereed research articles and notes, book reviews, as well as the-
matic and special issues. In future issues the biographical essays
format will continue with essays on Nicole Rafter, Phyllis Jo Bau-
nach, and Freda Adler scheduled for publication. A new feature will
introduce articles and notes on innovative and creative teaching
methods in the classroom.
As editor, I want to take this opportunity to thank all the past and
present members of the journal's editorial advisory board for their
dedication and commitment. Also, I thank the many anonymous
reviewers for their time and efforts. Not to be forgotten is the
journal's founding editor, Clarice Feinman; we are most apprecia-
tive of all her efforts in establishing the journal. As editor, I want to
especially thank our previous editorial assistant, Becky Wojeie-
chowski, for all the energy and expertise she devoted to Women &
Criminal Justice. Her commitment over the past three years con-
tributed to the success of a journal that was always on schedule..
