MEMBERSEIP.
The payment of any sum between $2.00 and $20.00 con-
stitutes a person a member of the American Peace Socirty for
one year, $20 00 a life member, $50.00 a life director, and
$100 00 an honorary member.
THE ADVOCATE OF PEACE is sent free to annual members for
one year, and to life members and directors during life.
If one is not able to give the full amount of a membership,
or directorship at once, he can apply whatever he does give on
it, with the understanding that the remainder is to be paid at
one or more times in the future.
THE ALVOCATE is sent gratuilously to the reading rooms of
Colleges and Theological Seminaries--to Young Men's Chris-
tian Associations-to every pastor who preaches on the Cause
of Peace and takes a collection for it. Also, to promi-
neit individuals, both ministers and laymen, with the
hope that they will become subscrib rs or donors, and induce
others to become such. To subscribers it is sent until a re-
quest to discontinue is received with the payment of all arrears
ages.
We have on our books a large list of names, as members or
directors, in our old and honored Society, who have paid in
full, and some, for their love of the holy cause, have paid
many times over; while many others-some two hundred scat-
tered over the land, have, by instalments, paid only in part,
purposing to complete their payments. Some are doing this
with commendable promptness, while others are delaying to
pay. Let all rucl remit in part or in full, as soon as possible,
to our office in Boston. 'there are also many in arrears for
THE ADVOCATE OF PEACE who are earnestly invited to make
prompt payment, and to inform us if they wish its discontinur
ance. We invite correspondence from all friends of peace and
shall be most happy to aid you and to have your co-operation in
this great cause of God and humanity.
