Founded in 1948, the Utah Law Review Society publishes the Utah Law Review, an
academic legal journal with national reach. The journal was founded to serve the interests
of the students, the bench, and the bar of the State of Utah. Since then, its scope has
expanded to include legal issues of both national and international importance. The Society
is a wholly student-run organization, with the student-editors making all editorial and
organizational decisions.
The Utah Law Review conforms to The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (19th ed.
2010) and The Chicago Manual of Style (16th ed. 2010). The editorial board maintains the
text and form of articles by editing only for accuracy and, where necessary, clarity. The
views expressed in the journal belong to their respective authors and should not be
attributed to the Utah Law Review, its editors, the S.J. Quinney College of Law, or the
University of Utah.
