Open a door into the world
of the Deaf
The British Deaf Association
opens the door for a fuller life for deaf people of all
ages-those who really need our help-the profoundly
deaf, many of them born deal, most.have never heard
the sound of a human voice, and never will.
Total deafness has isolated them from the vital human
contacts of speech and hearing, deprived them of most
of life's essential opportunities.
The British Deaf Association provides for them
extensive educational and social programmes: maintains
a Home for the aged and infirm: provides community
holidays for the elderly and help in many ways for the
deaf in urgent need.

Your continued help through
gifts and legacies is urgently
needed to maintain our work to
relieve the loneliness and
isolation of lifelong deafness.
Please help.
