These new practices, exercised through voting, fall within the framework of direct democracy and need to be contextualised, conceptualised and analysed. The following pages aim to serve as a pathway through which to first develop a theoretical framework that will enable a more accurate understanding of direct democracy, and second, an approach to the what, why and how of local citizen consultations. Aquestes noves practiques, exercides a trav s del vot, s'inscriuen dins el marc de la democracia directa i necessiten ser contextualitzades, conceptualitzades i analitzades.
