30 Pol. Theory 3 (2002)

handle is hein.journals/ptxa30 and id is 1 raw text is: FROM THE EDITOR
I am pleased to announce that 2002 marks the thirtieth anniversary for
Political Theory. To mark this occasion, we will have a special issue later this
year devoted to the topic, What Is Political Theory?
I would also like to thank Iris Marion Young for her invaluable service on
the executive committee of the editorial board. She leaves us this year and her
voice will be missed. Her replacement is John Dryzek of the Australian
National University. John will be familiar to most readers of this journal. He
has published extensively in the areas of democratic theory, environmental
political thought, and philosophy of the social sciences. His most recent book
is Deliberative Democracy and Beyond (Oxford 2000). Other books include:
Democracy in Capitalist Times, Discursive Democracy, The Politics of the
Earth, and Rational Ecology. I welcome John to the executive committee.
