    'THE  ONE  HUNDRED FORTY-SIXTH ANNUAL MEETI'

    The  one hundred forty-sixth Annual Meeting of the Society was
held in the Clover Room  of the Bellevue-Stratford Hotel on Friday
evening, January 13, 1933. It was one of the most successful meetings
in a long time.

    There was a short business session in which the Annual Report of
the Acting Committee, and the Treasurer's report were received, and the
officers were elected for the ensuing year.

    Addresses were delivered by Ernest Jerome Hopkins on The Truth
About  the Third Degree, and by John  R. Cranor, Superintendent of
Huntingdon  Reformatory, on IHuntingdon Reformatory as It Is; as It
Should Be.  Both of these addresses appear elsewhere in this issue.

    The following officers and members of the Acting and Executive
Committees were elected for the ensuing year:-
