Jag Uppal of the National Center for State Courts is helping greatly in this process. Additionally, our newsletter is now under the auspices of Boston University School of Law and has a managing editor, Faye G. Yoffa Stone, and legal editor, Professor Julius B. Levine. As the fall of the year approaches, our 1980 Annual Con- ference grows nearer. It will be held in Naples, Florida, from November 19-22, 1980. I urge that each member of NCPJ attend. It is hoped that representation this year will be larger than ever before. The Conference Chairmen, Fred Podolski and Mel Peterson, have worked tirelessly to present an interesting, informative seminar. See you all in Naples in November. P.G. ANNUAL CONFERENCE The annual conference of the National College of Probate Judges for 1980 will be held at the Naples Beach and Golf Club in Naples, Florida, from Wednesday (check- in) November 19, to noon on Saturday, November 22. The curriculum will begin Thursday morning and be completed at noon on Saturday. The main subjects and the instruc- tors are listed below: Wills and Trust Problems, Professor Julius B. Levine; Ideal Management and Administration of a Probate Court, Judge Joseph Ashmore of Texas; and the Use of a Guardian ad Litem, Judge James R. Wade of Colorado. The following elective subjects will be pre- sented: Termination of Custody Rights of Minors and Adoption by Judge Barbara Lougee of Connecticut; A Ty- pical Will Contest by Judges Dorothy Carson and Jack Marks of Arizona; Salary and Retirement Rights of Judges by Larry Berkson of the American Judicature Society; and How to Fund Heirs by Herbert Davis. The Beach Club Hotel at Naples Beach offers many amenities to make our conference a most pleasurable ex- perience. The Beach Club is a self-contained resort in PAPPAS LAW LIBRARY Southwest Florida that offers an 18-hole golf course, ten- nis courts, pool, sandy beach, lawn bowling, shuffleboard, fishing (deep sea or back in the mangroves), as well as at- tractive shops in the lobby. Within easy driving distance are Seminole National Park, Big Cypress Nature Center, and other conservation centers. For those who wish to shop, Naples has two elegant shopping centers. Naples Airlines and Mackey Airlines connect with the major air- lines at the airports in Tampa and Miami. NEWSLETTER STAFF The National College of Probate Judges has voted to be- come affiliated with Boston University School of Law. Boston University School of Law will assume the responsi- bilities for the quarterly newsletter and the coordination and printing of the College's curriculum material. Funding for this venture was made available to Boston University School of Law from a private foundation. At the time of the vote, Professor William Schwartz had planned to be the editor; however, he has since been appointed Dean- ad-Interim of the Boston University School of Law. Dean Schwartz has appointed a staff for the newsletter and conference curriculum. Managing Editor: Faye G. Yoffa Stone's college and law school educations were at Boston University, Yale University, and the University of Leiden, the Netherlands. She has practiced law in Massachusetts, specializing in electronically related industries. She holds office in three electronics corporations and has been a consultant to the Dean of the Boston University School of Law since 1976. Legal Editor: Professor Julius Levine has taught Trusts, Wills, and Estates at Boston University since 1969. He has practiced law in Massachusetts and Maine. His college and law school educations were at Harvard from which he graduated with honors. He also earned a Ph.D. in law from Oxford University where he studied three years as a Rhodes Scholar.
