              1974 ANNUAL MEETING PROGRAM


   The Section's program    during the ABA
Annual Meeting in Honolulu is set out below.
All meetings and programs of the Section will be
held from August 12 through August 16 at the
Hilton Hawaiian Village. Those of you registered
for the Annual Meeting have probably already
received a letter from Chairman Ray L. Potter
giving more explicit information concerning the
program and requesting members who plan to
attend the meeting to make their reservations
for Section functions as soon as possible.

             Monday and Tuesday
             August 12 and 13
All Day:    Meetings of the Council in execu-
            tive session

            Wednesday, August 14
 8:15 A.M. Probate and Trust Division and
            Real Property Division Committee
            Breakfasts planned for committee
            members followed by special reports
            to each group. At the conclusion of
            the reports, each committee will
            meet separately to discuss the
            year's progress and make plans for
            the coming year. For the last hour
            of the morning, the committee
            members of both Divisions will
            meet together to enjoy a Section
            potpourri which will include dis-
            cussions on such topics as Speciali-
            zation, Equal Rights, Development
            in Real Estate Taxation and Federal
            Land Use Regulations.


12:30 P.M.


Luncheon to be held for Section
members followed by the annual
business meeting. Action requiring
approval of the Section member-
ship including election of your of-
ficers and council members to fill
upcoming vacancies will be on the
agenda.


7:00 P.M. Reception and dinner dance in the
          lovely and impressive Lobby and
          Coral Ballroom of the Hawaiian
          Village. Entertainment is planned
          for your enjoyment, and you are
          urged not to miss this event.
          Thursday, August 15
9:00 A.M. Joint Program with the Young Law-
          yers on Protection of Consumer
          Interests in Residential Real Estate
          Transactions, by the Real Proper-
          ty Division, which will deal with
          residential purchase and sale prob-
          lems; residential financing and fore-
          closure problems; and residential
          landlord and tenant problems. The
          program   moderators will be H.
          Henley Blair, Oklahoma City, OK,
          for our Section, and Donald E.
          Clocksin, Juneau, AK, for the
          Young Lawyers. Mr. Blair will
          speak on owner-type title evidence,
          modern   recording and   retrieval
          methods and better, more widely
          used, marketable title and curative
          acts. Mr. Clocksin will discuss prob-
