MARTHA   C. NUSSBAUM   is Ernst Freund Distinguished
Service Professor of Law and Ethics at the University of
Chicago, appointed in Law, Philosophy, and Divinity.
Her most recent book is Creating Capabilities: The
Human   Development Approach (zon). Her long-term
project is a book called Political Emotions: The Public
Psychology of a Decent Society.

SAMUEL   BOWLES  heads the Behavioral Sciences
Program at the Santa Fe Institute and teaches econom-
ics at the University of Siena. His books include Micro-
economics: Behavior, Institutions and Evolution (2004);
A Cooperative Species: Human Reciprocity and Its Evolu-
tion (zon); and Machiavelli's Mistake: Why Good Laws
Are No Substitute for Good Citizens (2012).

F. M. KAMM   is Littauer Professor of Philosophy and
Public Policy, Harvard Kennedy School and Professor of
Philosophy, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Harvard Uni-
versity. She has written on normative ethical theory and
also practical ethics. Her forthcoming book is Ethics for
Enemies: Terror, Torture, and War (zon).
