                                     ARTHUR  RIPSTEIN is Associate Professor of
the  Contributors                    Philosophy and Law at the University of Toronto.
                                     He is currently at work on a project tentatively
                                     titled, Better Lucky Than Smart.
                                     MEIR DAN-COHEN   iS Professor of Law at the
                                     University of California, Berkeley. He is the author
                                     of Rights, Persons, and Organizations: A Legal
                                     Theory for Bureaucratic Society (University of
                                     California Press, 1986), and has published essays
                                     in law and philosophy.
                                     DOUGLAS  N. HUSAK  is Professor of Philosophy at
                                     Rutgers University. He is the author of Philosophy
                                     of Criminal Law (Rowman  & Littlefield, 1987)
                                     and Drugs and Rights (Cambridge  University
                                     Press, 1992). He is a past contributor to
                                     Philosophy & Public Affairs.
                                     MICHAEL  OTSUKA  is Assistant Professor of
                                     Philosophy at the University of California, Los
                                     Angeles, and a past contributor to Philosophy
                                     & Public Affairs. His current research interests
                                     include free will, punishment, and the obligation
                                     to obey the law.
