A SEMIOTHIC ANALYSIS OF POETRY TEXT FROM THE TEACHING-LERANING
PROCESS OF LITERATURE

RESUMEN
El articulo aborda la incidencia del m6todo semi6tico para el an~lisis del texto po6tico
en el proceso de ensehanza-aprendizaje de la literatura; demuestra c6mo el estudiante
interpreta las mitiples determinaciones socio-hist6ricas, culturales, psicol6gicas y
hasta biol6gicas de los c6digos lingListico y po6tico; explica la decodificaci6n de los
c6digos culturales individuales y sociales plasmados por el sistema emisor en el poema
lirico y la forma en que el estudiante configura los c6digos culturales propios en
beneficio de la sociedad. Los autores ilustran las multiples determinaciones de los
fen6menos que conforman el c6digo po6tico, entre los que destacan la m6trica, la rima,
los recursos expresivos, el tiempo, el espacio y el color, con referencias a obras liricas
de autores cubanos y de la literatura para nihos. A modo de conclusiones se enumera
una serie de insuficiencias presentes en la didactica de la literatura y trianguladas en
intercambios acad6micos con maestros y profesores.

ABSTRACT
The article approaches the incidence of the semiotic method for the analysis of the
poetic text in the teaching-learning process of Literature. It demonstrates how students
interpret multiple partner-historical, cultural, psychological and biological determinations
of the linguistic and poetic codes; this work also explains the decoding process of the
individual cultural and social codes expressed by the author in lyrical poem and the
form in which the students configure their own cultural codes in benefit of the society.
The authors illustrate the multiple determinations of the phenomena that conforms the
poetic code, among those highlight the metric, the rhyme, the expressive means, the
time, the space and the color, to references to Cuban authors' lyrical works and of the
literature for children. In short, a series of present inadequacies is enumerated in the
Didactics of the Literature and confirmed in academic exchanges with teachers and
professors.
