El objetivo del articulo es contribuir a solucionar una de las problematicas que enfrenta hoy la educaci6n cubana: la atenci6n a las diferencias individuales, que al tratar de dar soluci6n en la practica pedag6gica, muchas veces, no se va a las causas, a consecuencia del insuficiente conocimiento del diagn6stico de los estudiantes. PALABRAS CLAVES: Atenci6n a las diferencias individuales, diagn6stico integral, formaci6n integral de los estudiantes. ABSTRACT One of the problems that face the education today is the attention to the individualities and when trying to give solution to this problem the causes are seldom considered. One of these causes is the insufficient knowledge of the diagnosis of the students because of the importance that this aspect has to achieve the integral formation of the students and a narrower bond among the family, the community and the school and to make possible the education be a shared task, this material was done to summarize key elements to keep in mind when diagnosing for a correct process of assisting the individualities. It is expected to serve, at any extent, as consultation to those who love and respect our profession. KEY WORDS: individual differences, diagnosis. Con el prop6sito de elevar la cultura general e integral de los cubanos, como garantia de continuidad de la Revoluci6n, nuestro maximo lider Fidel Castro precis6, en reiteradas ocasiones, el papel trascendental que corresponde a la escuela y a los educadores en lograr una sociedad diferente, mas justa; lo que evidentemente implica una revoluci6n en la educaci6n. Lo anterior significa que cada docente organice su tiempo de trabajo y dirija acciones puntuales para realizar un diagn6stico con calidad que permita desarrollar un proceso de ensehanza-aprendizaje que favorezca la formaci6n integral de los estudiantes.
