At the 31st Annual Meeting of the Young Lawyer
Section, held in Miami Beach last
August, Winton A. Winter, a practic-

named National Chairman of the

Wilkins is a graduate of the University of Indiana Law
School, while Winter and Falsgraf received their degrees
from Kansas and Western Reserve Law Schools, respec-
tively. All three men have had extensive experience in
various capacities with the ABA and are extremely well
qualified for their posts of high responsibility with our
Section.
YOUNG LAWYER COMMITTEE CHAIRMEN 1965-66
National Chairman Winton A. Winter has announced
the following committee chairmanship appointments for
the current conference year:
Affiliate Organizations: William E. Murane, Denver,
Colo.
Awards of Achievement and Projects: Robert Baker,
Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ralph Farmer, Jr.,
Memphis, Tennessee
Budget:  Richard E. Wiley, Chicago, Illinois and

BATCHELOR, WILEY TO HEAD
PUBLICATIONS STAFF

James D. Batchelor of Oklahoma City has been
named Editor-in-chief of Law Notes,
Young Lawyer Edition. Batchelor,
author of Outline of Federal Prac-
tice and Procedure which appeared
in the initial two editions of Law
Notes, has served several years as
associate editor of the publication
and of its predecessor, The Young
Lawyer. He is a partner in the Okla-
homa City firm of De Bois, Allen  James Batchelor
& Batchelor.
Stepping down as Editor-in-chief after two years at
the helm, and another three on the staff, is Richard E.
Wiley of Chicago, Illinois. However, Wiley, in his po-
sition as Young Lawyer National Director, will continue
to supervise all Section publications, including Law
Notes. Wiley is associated with the Chicago firm of
Chadwell, Keck, Kayser, Ruggles & McLaren.
Mr. Batchelor has announced that the format of Law
Notes will be continued in its present form, and that
every effort will be made by the Editorial Board to con-
tinue the policy of publishing practical, substantive
legal material.
ASSEMBLY OFFICERS: ALSOBROOK AND KAFES
The Young Lawyer Conference Assembly named
veteran office-holder Henry B. Alsobrook of New Or-
leans, and newcomer William 0. Kafes of Hartford, Con-
necticut to the important positions of Speaker and Clerk,
Henry Alsobrook                William Kafes
respectively. Alsobrook, who held the post of Assembly
Clerk last year, is a partner in the law firm of Adams
and Reese while Kafes is associated with Aetna Life
Insurance Company.
