QUESTIONS IN THE LAW OF PRIVATE
CORPORATIONS.
i. The Mississippi Navigation Company was regularly
incorporated under the laws of Iowa. The incorporator.
were ten in number, and among them was one A, who was
the owner of ten shares of stock. A was indebted to B in
the sum of ten thousand dollars. B caused an attachment to
be levied on the steamboat Dauntless, which was one of the
boats operated along the Mississippi by the above named
corporation. The company intervened in their corporate
capacity and claimed the Dauntless as their property. The
existence of the company as a corporation being recognized
and the ownership of the boat being admitted to be in the
company, does A who owned ten shares of the capital stock of
said company possess such certain and distinct individual
