CHIEF JUSTICES MEET IN NEW ORLEANS
Conference Well Attended
YChief Justice Joe W. Sanders hosted Chief Justices
from 45 of the 50 states who were in new Orleans for
the mid-winter meeting of the Conference of Chief
Justices held at the Maison Dupuy Hotel in New Orleans
February 8-10.
Programs on State-Federal Relations, Expediting
Appeals in Appellate Courts, Judiciary and the News
Media, and Revisions to the Code of Professional Re-
sponsibility of Lawyers, as well as remarks by Louisiana
Governor Edwin Edwards and New Orleans Mayor Moon
Landrieu were included in the meeting.
Chief Justice Sanders who is a member of the
/ executive council of the Conference noted that interest
in the topics was high and attendance at all sessions was
excellent.
