 ) January - WIDR Edition

We hope you enjoy this month's issue of Just Resolutions. The
Women in Dispute Resolution (WIDR) Committee recently
presented the November, 2014 edition of the Just Resolutions
Newsletter. Because of the overwhelming response to our
requests for content, we were invited to present the January,
2015 edition. Thank you for joining us again! We thank all of the
contributors and welcome their contributions to future newsletters.

WIDR is a vibrant and active Committee of the Dispute Resolution
Section. We focus on meeting the needs of new, solo, and
experienced neutrals, helping them develop their business through
teleconferences and articles on neutral business development,
substantive innovation in dispute resolution practice, and more.

Two initiatives of WI DR give an important insight into the value of
joining WI DR:

1. The WI DR Membership Directory: The opportunity to be
    listed in the WIDR Membership Directory (updated once
    annually). In July, 2014, WIDR made available its first Directory
    of member ADR practitioners. The Directory will be disseminated
    by the ABA's Commission on Women in the Profession as well as
    being circulated by women affiliated legal groups. We hope it
    will be a first stop for people looking to select mediators and
    arbitrators to find qualified candidates. The WI DR Directory List
    is published on an annual basis. You need to be a member of
    the Dispute Resolution Section and the WIDR Committee to be
    included in the Directory. Registration for the next WIDR
    Directory will open in August 2015.
 2. Dispute Resolution Roster List: Women in Dispute Resolution
    Committee's (WIDR) Mediation and Arbitration Roster List was
    created for section member neutrals, a significant number of
    whom may be relatively new to the field and not know of all of
    the roster opportunities available. The list is useful to those who
    are building an ADR practice as well as those who are well
    along. The spreadsheet list represents a first step towards a
    comprehensive list of potential opportunities to mediate or
    arbitrate, paid or unpaid, through panels, rosters, or as
    independents. This WIDR created resource, thanks in no small
    part to the efforts of Conna Weiner, is a benefit to the entire
    Dispute Resolution Section.

Additional benefits of joining WI DR include the following:

* Monthly teleconferences including substantive presentations by
    guest speakers;
* Access to the WIDR Monthly Report which contains timely
    information on events and opportunities;
* Regional Meetings with members designed to enhance local
    networking;
*  WIDR  Webpage;
*  WIDR  Linkedln Group;
* Special networking opportunities for WIDR members at the DR
    Section's Annual Spring Conference;
* Opportunities to Interact with Other Women's Groups within the
    ABA and outside the ABA;
* Speaking and writing opportunities (both individual and
    collaborative);

Workshop  programs, and the Legal
Educators Colloquium.

Organizing  information: Evernote Update
(Calendar  and Security Tools)

By Nancy Wiegers Greenwald

In the November issues of the Just
Resolutions eNewsletter, I wrote a short
piece about how Evernote to organize my
work. Since writing that article, I have
discovered two resources that have greatly
enhanced my use of Evernote. The first is an
Evernote extension called TuskTools
Calendar. The calendar syncs to your
Evernote account and can also be synced
with either Outlook or Google calendar. Any
note you make within Evernote can be
