An Editorial and a Welcome
In the final issue of the Journal in 2005 we informed you that Folke
Olander, Geoffrey Woodroffe, and Heiner Imkamp have all retired
from their editorial responsibilities. We now take the opportunity to
advise you of the two new members of the editorial team who will join
us, the undersigned two remaining editors, in our quest to take for-
ward the long-term aspiration to situate the Journal of Consumer
Policy in the front rank of publications in our chosen interdisciplinary
field.
John Thogersen is based in the Department of Marketing and
Statistics at the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark. He is a long-
standing colleague of Folke Olander and will provide us with a wel-
come element of continuity. Professor Thogersen's specialism lies in
the field of economic psychology and he has a formidable research
track record in fields including consumer behaviour, social and envi-
ronmental marketing, the role of moral norms in consumer decision-
making, including with reference to environmental concerns, and
media influences on consumer perceptions, attitudes, and behaviour.
Lucia Reisch also represents continuity, for like Heiner Imkamp she
has close associations with the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart
where she worked for more than a decade. She has already served,
since 1999, as Book Review Editor (in conjunction with Dr. Christian
Twigg-Flesner of the University of Hull who is and remains Law Book
Review Editor) and, since 2004, as Associate Editor. Dr. Reisch is
currently Guest Professor at the Department of Intercultural Com-
munication and Management at the Copenhagen Business School in
Denmark. For about a decade her primary research concerns have
been devoted to empirical work in the field of ecologically and socially
responsible consumer behaviour, including matters pertaining to sus-
tainable consumption. Dr. Reisch now assumes responsibility for the
journal's administrative duties.
We are delighted to announce to the readership of the Journal that
we have recruited two such splendid scholars to the editorial team. We
are also happy that both are such congenial colleagues and we
accordingly feel confident that the new editorial quartet is well-suited
