SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES


  Present: Chief Justice Roberts, Justice Thomas, Justice Alito, Justice
Sotomayor, Justice Kagan, Justice Gorsuch, Justice Kavanaugh, Justice
Barrett, and Justice Jackson.
  The Chief Justice said:
  I have the honor to announce, on behalf of the Court, that the Octo-
ber 2021 Term  of the Supreme  Court of the United States is now
closed, and the October 2022 Term is now convened.
  Today's orders of the Court have been duly entered and certified,
and filed with the Clerk.
  Before we begin today, I would like to note the retirement as Coun-
selor to the Chief Justice of Jeffrey P. Minear. Mr. Minear has served
this Court and the broader federal judiciary with distinction as Coun-
selor for more than 16 years. He departs to begin his next chapter with
our profound gratitude.
  I am pleased to announce that pursuant to Title 28 of the United
States Code I have appointed United States District Judge Robert M.
Dow, Jr. to serve as the next Counselor. Judge Dow will enter duty as
Counselor later this fall.

              CERTIORARI-SUMMARY DISPOSITIONS

  No. 21-1102. Oklahoma, Petitioner v. Shaynna Lauren Sims. Motion
of respondent for leave to proceed informa pauperis granted. On peti-
tion for writ of certiorari to the Court of Criminal Appeals of Okla-
homa. Petition for writ of certiorari granted. Judgment vacated, and
case remanded to the Court of Criminal Appeals of Oklahoma for fur-
ther consideration in light of Oklahoma   v. Castro-Huerta,  597
U. S.    (2022).
  No. 21-1160. Alfred Morin, Petitioner v. William Lyver, et al. On
petition for writ of certiorari to the United States Court of Appeals
for the First Circuit. Petition for writ of certiorari granted. Judgment
vacated, and case remanded to the United States Court of Appeals for
the First Circuit for further consideration in light of New York State
Rifle & Pistol Assn., Inc. v. Bruen, 597 U. S. (2022).
  No. 21-1274. Bobby  Lee  Ingram, Petitioner v. United States. On
petition for writ of certiorari to the United States Court of Appeals for
the Eleventh Circuit. Petition for writ of certiorari granted. Judgment
