EDITORIAL

Dear Reader,

We are pleased to introduce Volume III, Issue 1 of Journal of Law and the Biosciences
(JLB), a peer-reviewed, open access, and online interdisciplinary academic journal.
This is our second symposium issue and includes four original articles originallypre-
sented at the annual meeting of reproductive technology, genetics, and the law meet-
ing held in 2015 at Harvard Law School. The meeting brought together scholars and
other professionals from all over the USA. These four articles specifically examine sperm
donor anonymity, in vitro gametogenesis, the use of multimedia to aid informed con-
sent for IVF, and uterine transplants.
In addition to the four symposium articles, this issue includes two other articles
('What Does Recent Neuroscience Tell Us About Criminal Responsibility?' and 'The
Blunt-Edged Sword: Genetic Explanations of Misbehavior Neither Mitigate Nor Ag-
gravate Punishment');  four peer commentaries  on two previously published articles;
four author's responses to commentaries; a book review on FDA in the Twenty-First
Century: The Challenges of Regulating Drugs and New Technologies; and four student de-
velopment pieces from Harvard Law School students. We are especiallypleased to con-
tinue publishing peer commentaries and responses, as we want to encourage ongoing
dialog about issues at the intersection of law and the biosciences.
Thank you for your readership, and we hope you consider submitting either original
articles or peer commentaries written in response to our articles.

   Sincerely,

I. Glenn Cohen,JD
