      The movement towards liberalization of world trade laws and the increasing
economic interdependence between nations has increased the potential for inter-
national insolvencies. This article examines the extent to which Canadian courts
recognize foreign insolvency proceedings and contrasts the Canadian approach with
the approaches taken in the United Kingdom and the United States.
