INTRODUCTORY
There is no business in the world where
it is so essential for those engaged in it to
keep step with the current law decisions
as it is in the Insurance business in all its
branches, Life, Fire, Marine, Casualty and
Surety. This is true of the Underwriter,
Agent, Broker and Field-man as well as the
Adjuster.
Heretofore there has been no periodical
medium which has disseminated the In-
surance portion of the text of the decisions
in language readily understandable to In-
surance men generally.
The major portion of the decisions
handed down are in large measure com-
prised of purely law matters that have no
relation to the construction of the Insur-
ance contract. If the average insurance
man were to understand the involved
wordings, they are so extensive that it is
hardly likely he would have time to read
them. These extraneous matters embrace
such subjects as Appeal and Error, Bur-
den of Proof, Admissibility of Evidence
and so forth, all alien to the practical in-
surance man.

It is the mission of INSURANCE DECISIONS
to abstract the meat of the insurance
points construed, discarding all matters
not relevant and serve it fortnightly in
language that is easily understood by those
engaged in the insurance business irrespec-
tive of branch or position.
Thus the fire underwriter, daily report
examiner, local agent, broker, loss-clerk
and life and accident agent will have made
available to him every current case con-
struing the insurance points exclusively,
with Topical Index in which the text will
be placed under Insurance headings which
are familiar to them. The banks with Real
Estate and Mortgage departments and the
large Insurers which maintain Insurance
departments will also find the publication
readable and valuable.
FORUM
There is a Legal Forum, a depart-
ment to which subscribers of record may
address legitimate inquiries on problems be-
fore them, Adjustments, Court Holdings on
this or that point, etc. The Contributing
Editors are nationally-known Insurance
Attorneys, Adjusters and Underwriters,
with years of valuable experience and an
intimate working knowledge of Insurance
Problems, Forms and Insurance Procedure.
The decisions which are being ground
out daily by the Federal and State Courts,
as grist from the mill, are not comprised
solely of points covering the late forms of
insurance such as Airplane and the newer
forms of Inland Marine, Surety and so
forth all of which are indicative of the
enormous growth and expansion of the in-
surance business. On the contrary, they
are in large measure decisions under the
