INTEDNATIONAL ENFOPCEMENT LAW PEPONTED

                                                                VOl. L IWu 1. September 1985

The International Enforcement Law Reporter (IELR) is a monthly reporter
which discusses developments in areas of international enforcement law. Due
to increasing international commerce and communication, and the increasingly
active roles of governments into regulating transnational activity, many
commercial matters which were free from sanctions have become regulated and
even in some cases criminalized. The exotic rules of adjective international
criminal law, particularly judicial and executive assistance in criminal
matters and the issuance of subpoenas abroad, have become increasingly
important. The IELR is designed to report on international enforcement law
developments, and serve as a reference tool and guide to the practice of
international enforcement law. Attorneys and principals planning
international transactions need to track reporting and planning techniques
which enforcement regulations suddenly may render illegal. Litigators need to
keep abreast of cases, legislation, agreements, and practices by international
organizations which may affect their clients. The International Enforcement
Law Reporter will contain timely commentary, a series of valuable articles, a
survey of current legal and criminal justice developments with comments,
analytical summaries of significant domestic and foreign judicial decisions.
It will also contain information on developments in international enforcement
law which have not reached the treaty or case law level, such as executive
      decisions on training, appropriations, etc.
Among the issues which the IELR will cover are: the Bank Secrecy Act
regulations; moneylaundering bills ; taxation; trade developments; securities
and commodities futures trading; fraud; intellectual property law; foreign
corrupt practices; and narcotics trafficking and related forfeiture cases.
