Pursuant to the by-laws enacted at
the last Annual Meeting, Chairman
Larry Stotter has selected the five
1   persons who will comprise the Nom-
inating Committee. This committee
will in turn nominate persons to fill
1   offices and Council positions which
2   will be vacant at the next Annual
3   Meeting of the Section at New York
in August 1978. The by-laws pre-
3   scribe that members of the Nomi-
7   nating Committee must be drawn
I   from certain categories. The names
and addresses and categories of the
.2  members of the Nominating Com-

THE FAMILY
All too often we are oblivious to
the human consequences of legal ac-
tion and all too seldom is there any
follow-up on how our clients fared
post divorce, said Professor Henry
Foster Jr. in his introduction to the
panel Do We Need a National In-
stitute on the Family?
Foster, outgoing Chairman of the
Family Law Section, continued,
Our legislatures do not really
know what the social, economic and
psychological costs of marriage and
divorce entail. There has been no ac-
counting, and our courts make no
follow-up studies as to how law is
implemented or ignored.
