Letter From the Editor-In-Chief
New Perspectives Section to be Added to the Journal
Greetings to readers of Employee Rights and Responsibilities Journal. Recent discus-
sions have led us to decide to add a new section to the Journal to further plans to help extend
our reach and scope. While continuing to publish and value traditional scholarly articles,
we have added a new section entitled Perspectives. Look for its debut in the next issue
(Volume 17, Number 2, June 2005).
We are excited about this new addition to the Journal, for it will help explore
employment-related issues from either a national or a global viewpoint in a variety of
formats extending beyond the scope of the traditional journal article. This innovative sec-
tion will include written pieces such as
* book reviews
* review essays
* interviews with leading practitioners and theoreticians in employment-related fields
* symposia/roundtable discussions by leading experts
* commentaries as well as dialogues concerning important and significant topics
within the sphere of employment relations broadly defined.
Pieces for Perspectives may be written from diverse theoretical perspectives and
may be drawn from a variety of academic disciplines such as economics, sociology, psy-
chology, history, anthropology, political science, law, etc. or may be interdisciplinary
in nature. We encourage readers to be original and creative in the submission of their
proposals for topics, and the corresponding approach, for eventual publication in this
section.
Those desiring to submit a proposal, or to discuss a proposal before submitting it,
should contact Prof. Victor Devinatz, our Perspectives section editor. He welcomes all
inquiries and proposals and can be contacted at
