assisted by Mel Bassi of Charleroi, PA. Mitch Miller of

Five hundred general practitioners in Kansas City,
Missouri and as many more in Portland, Oregon, cannot
be wrong. Our Section has found the way to bring the
message and to teach the lesson of efficiency and
economy to the solo and small firm practitioner in
America. It has been done by adopting a formula, which,
simplistic as it may seem, has eluded the great institu-

bar reception will be held in the Versailles Ballroom at
7:30 P.M.
The Annual Reception for the Section will be held on
Monday evening, August 11th, and promises to be one
of the highlights of the Section's program. Our annual
luncheon will be held on Tuesday, August 12th, and on
Wednesday morning, August 13th, there will be a
breakfast in honor of Jim Bierbower, our incoming
Chairman.
Several educational programs have been arranged and
still others are in the planning stage. We are co-spon-
soring two programs with the Insurance, Negligence and
Compensation Section. One program deals with the
technology of trial preparation and will cover such
topics as the use of paralegals in trial preparation and
application of computers and other electronic devices. It
will feature speakers who not only will be interesting,
but who also are experts in their fields. The other joint
program with the Insurance Section will be an update of
a program on Arbitration for the General Practitioner
which Was so well received in Honolulu.
Seth Rosner of New York, Chairman of the Class
Actions Committee of our Section, is putting together a
program on class actions which will undoubtedly be
continued on page 10
