VIDEOTAPES TO BE PREMIERED AT ACLEA ANNUAL MEETING
Production of the ABA Consortium for Professional
Education's program on Legal Ethics is in full swing.
The 14-chapter book, An Attorney's Guide to Professional
Responsibility, is being prepared with chapters authored
by such well-known legal experts as James Brosnahan,
Monroe Freedman, Irving Younger and Gary Bellow. A video-
tape program consisting of six cassette videotapes is in
the production shooting stages. Five of the videotapes
will present dramatizations of ethical problems faced by
lawyers in their day-to-day practice.
Consortium Book
The book will present an in-depth discussion and
analysis of the broad range of a lawyer's ethical respon-
sibilities. It will describe the day-to-day problems and
decisions a practitioner must face--in dealing with clients,
the courts, other lawyers, and the public.
The subject matter of the book's fourteen chapters
includes: relations with and responsibilities to clients,
conflicts of interest, advertising and solicitation, mal-
practice liability, and proper conduct during adversary
proceedings. The special responsibilities of government
lawyers and attorneys in criminal practice, corporate prac-
tice, and public interest practice will be dealt with in
separate chapters.
The author list includes nationally-renowned practi-
tioners and law school teachers. The chapter writers have
