                        SUMMARY OF THE EXECUTIVE
                        BOARD MEETING 3/30/78

The Board met on March 30, 1978.

At the meeting it was decided not to hold a Chapter Breakfast in
Rochester since we will have had our Annual Meeting just one month prior
 to the convention.
The agenda for the Annual Meeting was discussed and the following
will be discussed: Ellen Sandmeyer will give a report on the AALL
Ethics Committee and what will be done at the Rochester meeting. We
will also hear from those Committee Chairpersons who wish to make an
oral report to the membership present. All Chairpersons are required
to make a written annual report to the President at that time.
The Board has decided to establish a Special Committee to work
for an Administrative Code for the State of Illinois. Further news
will be released upon appointment of the committee, if you would
like to volunteer to help the committee or know of someone who would,
please contact Virginia Shields at Ross, Hardies or Jan Bentley at
 Mayer, Brown.
Jan Bentley will become President of CALL at the close of the
Annual Meeting. She has asked for volunteers to serve on committees
for next year. If you have a preference for a committee please let
her know as soon as possible so that we will have a smooth transition.

                       CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

Amendment to change the name of the C.A.L.LI by-laws.
168 ballots were mailed out to the membership and I received 121
completed. The result was: 118 for the amendment, I against and 2 votes
were received after April 17th and were not counted.
Effective immediately the governing document for C.A.L.L. shall be
 known as CONSTITUTION & BY-LAWS.
