                              FROM THE PRESIDENT

     Christine Brock and Sandra Traicoff have been selected to co-chair the
CALL SPRING INSTITUTE on Space Planning for Law Libraries. It will be held no
later than the end of April in the Loop or near-Loop area.

     A LIST OF FORTHCOMING EVENTS is published in this issue. If the membership
is interested in this endeavor we will continue publishing updated listings in sub-
sequent issues of our bulletin. Your comments, as well as additions to the list,
are welcomed. The number is 670-2950.

     AALL SCHOLARSHIPS AND GRANTS are again available for law school and library
school studies and for attending the annual institute and/or convention.
Application deadline: April 1, 1975. Address'inquiries to:

     The AALL Local Arrangements Committee has asked all chapter presidents to
make reservations now for CHAPTER BREAKFASTS during the 1975 Annual Meeting. The
officers of ORALL have been approached, and it is possible that we could hold a joint
breakfast, depending on the response of the membership.
     Those planning to attend, contact A. V. Kulys at 670-2950 by Nov. 12, 1974.

     Dianne Witkowski has been appointed chairman of the Committee on Cooperative
Projects (Special Committee). She is replacing Gayle Edelman who has resigned from
her appointment. Sincere thanks to Mrs. Edelman for chairing this committee up to
this time.



                                   WATCH IT:

         Don't forget to send in your registration for the Springfield Con-
         ference on Illinois agencies and documents to be held November 15-16
         at the Lincoln Towers Hotel. The registration form and $20 fee
         should be returned to:
