handle is hein.journals/ausnewma2 and id is 1 raw text is: Editorial

1. EDITORIAL
This issue of the Journal continues to draw upon material from the
Tenth Annual General Meeting and Conference, in the form of The
Frank Stewart Dethridge Memorial Address presented by The Honour-
able Mr Justice Yeldham. This most scholarly address considered the
impact of the technological and scientific developments which are
affecting the maritime and commercial world in which we live and
work.
Our case note concerns a set of two cases in which a number of
observations were made as to bills of lading evidencing the shipment
of goods and as to what constitutes shipped on board bills of lading.
Continuing the -theme of bills of lading, there is a report on the Comit6
Maritime International Colloquium on Bills of Lading, as well as on a
number of other activities of the Comit6 Maritime International.
We continue ,to remind readers that in order for the Journal to
reflect the interests and activities of the Association and its members
we seek contributions in the form of articles, case notes and commen-
taies and reports of the activities of the branches of the Association
and their members.
