Editors' Note

We have the honor and pleasure of introducing this seventieth
volume of the American Journal of Comparative Law.
The past year brought many challenges. The pandemic may have
abated; yet the worldwide disruptions of the supply chains kept af-
fecting our publisher's production process, leading to regrettably long
delays. As Editors, we wish to thank our readers and authors for their
patience and understanding; we are committed to do whatever we can
on our end to fight and make more bearable the effects these delays
have for readers and authors.
We are, in the light of these circumstances, particularly proud to
introduce a volume that will not only comprise the usual four issues
but also a supplement issue dedicated to publishing the U.S. Reports
to the Congress of the International Academy of Comparative Law in
Asunci6n, Paraguay.
Having the privilege of choosing from myriad high-quality sub-
missions from all over the world, we have, as in the previous years
of our tenure, focused on curating a diverse and inclusive array of
authors, and we are particularly excited about the wide spectrum of
modern comparative scholarship we are able to present to our reader-
ship, despite troubled times.
We are also happy to welcome a new team of authors that will
continue the tradition of an annual survey of Choice of Law in the
American Courts: William S. Dodge, John Coyle, and Aaron Simowitz.
As in every year, we also wish to thank all those colleagues who
make the publication of the Journal possible: the members of the
Executive Editorial Board and, in particular, our Book Review Editors,
Professors Richard Albert, of the University of Texas at Austin, and
Joshua Karton, of Queen's University.
We also wish to thank our Managing Editor, Paula Potter, and our
Articles Editor, Amber Lynch, for their work and dedication.
