J. PURDON WRIGHT ELECTED PRESIDENT COMMERCIAL
LAW LEAGUE OF AMERICA
J. Purdon NVright. prominent Baltimore lawyer and consulting editor of the
AMERICAN BANKRUPTCY REVIEW for the Fourth Circuit, was unanimously elected
president of the Commercial Law I.eague of America at its convention at At-
lantic City, August 24.
Mr. \'Vright was horn in Colorado Springs. Colo.. and lived as a boy in Superior,
\,Vis. In 1900 his parents removed to Baltimore. He received his education there,
graduating in 1905 from the Baltimore City College, and the same year from the
University of Maryland with the degree of LL.B. From 1905 to 1908, he at-
tended the Johns Hopkins University, where he became a member of the Phi
Gamma Delta fraternity. In 1908 Mr. Wright graduated from Johns Hopkins
University with the degree of B.A., and pursued two years of post graduate work
at this school. Coming to the Bar of the State of Maryland in 1909. he has prac-
ticed law in Baltimore continuously since that time. He was associated with
