     The Berkeley Journal ofAfrican-American Law  & Policy (ISSN: 1943-4278)
is published annually each spring by the students of the University of California,
Berkeley School  of Law. Please send all correspondence regarding subscription
requests, address changes, advertising, and permission to reprint to:

     Manuscripts.  The Journal invites the submission of unsolicited manuscripts.
Both text and notes should be double- or triple-spaced, left justified, and without
hyphenation. Notes  should be numbered consecutively and presented in footnote,
rather than endnote style. Once the author and the Journal agree to publish the
manuscript, a copy of the article should be submitted on a 3.5-inch disk, CD, or via
e-mail in Microsoft Word   or Rich Text Format.  Since manuscripts cannot be
returned, we prefer electronic submission. Manuscripts should be submitted to:

     Form. The text and citations of   the Journal  conform  generally to The
 Chicago Manual  of Style (15th ed. 2003) and to The Bluebook: A Unform System
 of Citation (18th ed. 2005).
     Purpose.   The  Journal seeks to provide a scholarly forum to debate and
propose solutions to issues affecting disenfranchised peoples, particularly African
Americans.   The  Journal seeks to publish social policy and legal scholarship
addressing  economic, political, philosophic, and sociological issues affecting
African Americans.   Publication does not indicate that the views expressed are
those of the Journal, of the School of Law, or of the University of California. The
views expressed are to be attributed to their authors.
